If you think Monty Python's Flying Circus for children then you will begin to get an idea of what to expect from Do Not Adjust Your Set. It was a seminal children's programme made from 1967 to 1969 and it really was unlike anything ever made for kids.
It quickly acquired a cult following amongst many adults who loved watching The Bonzo Dog Doodah Band perform in every episode, with the musicians frequently appearing as extras in sketches. A long-running feature of the show was Captain Fantastic featuring a parody superhero played by a very young David Jason in improbable, even macabre adventures against villainess Mrs. Black, played by Denise Coffey.
We are delighted that Denise Coffey will join Bonzo band member Neil Innes and fellow DNAYS cast member Tim Brooke-Taylor to revisit those good old days and show clips from this ground-breaking programme. Our guests will be in conversation with writer, journalist and broadcaster Matthew Sweet.
Ticket prices: £8.00 full / £6.50 concessions
