In Shorts2Features we showcase the work of talented filmmakers that have successfully navigated their way through that process and invite them to share some of their hard earned experiences.
Bafta winning director Peter Nicholson's feature film debut is a dark and atmospheric story of female friendship tested by deceit, betrayal and a terrifying past.
Susan (Rebecca Night), outwardly confident and Becky (Gemma-Leah Devereux), more fragile and shy, both in their late twenties, are inseparable friends. But both women have secrets they have not shared, some recent, some long past and deeply buried. For Susan in particular, a weekend hiking trip to Dartmoor, offers a chance for her to transform her future. But neither are prepared for the emotional shock waves that follow an encounter with a charismatic young man, Chris (Callum Blue) whose own damaged past is slowly revealed, and which leads the girls into a terrifying and lethal ordeal that swiftly becomes a fight for survival.
Winner of Best screenplay at the 2011 Tulsa International Film Festival, this is an excellent psychological thriller that makes full use of the brooding and atmospheric Dartmoor landscape.
Followed by a Q&A with Director Peter Nicholson and Producer Jayne Chard.
