Are you a young deaf person aged 18-24? Interested in getting creative and picking up the skills to work in television? On this free two-day workshop you’ll learn how to prepare for a shoot, how to operate broadcast equipment, and edit using the latest software, with support from leading deaf filmmaker Bim Ajadi .
You’ll work in teams to make a 90 second promotional film – along the way you’ll be shown how to use the same camera used by many of the BBC’s leading productions, shown how to make shot lists and storyboards for the shoot, and edit on cutting-edge editing software. At the end of the workshop you’ll be able to watch your finished creation – and you will be put in touch with the BBC’s face-to-face talent development scheme.
This is a two day workshop (Fri & Sat) which will run from 9:30 - 17:30 on each day.
Sign language interpreters will be provided for the duration of the workshops.
