The second of our free DJ nights curated by Scott Hendy: a rare chance to catch Scott and John Parish behind the wheels of steel taking their cues from Janis Joplin with a great mix of 60s/70s psych, rock, and soundtracks.
Join them in the Café/Bar before and after Janis: Little Girl Blue (at 20:20), a great documentary about iconic singer Janis Joplin, for a great mix of tunes. The Fringe DJ events at Watershed are free – so come and make a night of it!

John Parish is an accomplished composer, solo artist, producer and collaborator, known for his work with PJ Harvey, Eels, Giant Sand and others.
Bristol-based Parish has been writing for film, theatre and contemporary dance since the late 90s, when his first score for Rosie (dir: Patrice Toye) won the Jury Special Appreciation Award at the 1999 Bonn International Film & TV Music Biennale.
As a producer, Parish has been responsible for a string of ground breaking albums, most recently PJ Harvey’s Mercury Prize-winning Let England Shake. Other productions include Sparklehorse, Tracy Chapman, 16 Horsepower, This Is The Kit, Arno and more.
As an artist he has co-authored two albums with PJ Harvey – Dance Hall at Louse Point (1996) and A Woman A Man Walked By (2009) – one album with Eels – Souljacker (2001), and released three albums under his own name on the acclaimed Thrill Jockey label.
