What better way to celebrate Roald Dahl's lifelong obsession with chocolate and his enduring links with inky illustrator Quentin Blake than a fantastical workshop uniting the two?
Join neurogastronomer and chocolate enthusiast James Wheale of Understory for a unique illustration workshop where you'll be sketching using some of the finest fair trade chocolate known to human beans!
After the workshop, enjoy a screening of the original 1971 Roald Dahl-inspired Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (screening at 12:00) starring Gene Wilder, who trained at the Bristol Old Vic.
This FREE workshop (on Sun 7 Aug from 10:00 to 12:00) is most suited to 6-12 year olds and their families, but big human beans are welcome too. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note, workshop materials may contain nuts. Allergen information available on request at the event.
