Over a year in the making, Life and Deaf is an intimate window into the lives of Memnos, Marios, Abigail and Tina as they experience the highs and lows of life as a Deaf person in the modern world. Joined by the shared thread of St John’s Deaf Club, this immersive documentary created a stir in the Deaf and mainstream worlds when it aired on BBC FOUR earlier this year.

Come and watch the full documentary, then take part in a Q&A with the programme’s director Clare Johns, producer Camilla Arnold and contributor Tina Costi to find out about Life and Deaf’s year-long journey to the screen.

This screening will be subtitled and feature sign language. The discussion will include live speech to text transcription and a sign language interpreter. All of our cinema auditoria are fitted with induction loop systems.
