A free creative workshop for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people
This free creative workshop will explore new ways to reinterpret sound using, visuals, vibrations, live musicians and balloons to explore how music can allude to flavour, colours and emotions.
For the past three months, Pervasive Media Studio resident artist Sabrina Shirazi has been developing a project called OPUS which looks at the synergy between sound and flavour. During the workshop we will explore and feel music, alongside talking about the tastebuds it inspires.
The workshop will also bring together the work-in-progress version of a Bone Conducting Gobstopper for you to try, alongside the activities that explore different approaches to experiencing sound and music.
To attend please book your free ticket online - the workshop is aimed at particpants aged 18 or over and there is limited capacity so book in advance to ensure your place on this tasty workshop! Please meet in the upstairs foyer of Watershed, where Sabrina will be there to guide you to the Studio (which is just beyond the Café/Bar).
Supported by Unlimited Impact; supporting artists and venues to celebrate the work of disabled artists, funded by Spirit of 2012. OPUS was developed in residence at Watershed’s Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol, UK.
