Young failed painter Hiroshi (Noda Yojiro of the rock band Radwimps, making his acting debut) falls into the depths of despair when he discovers he has terminal cancer. Having given up on his dreams, everything changes when he encounters the bold and outspoken Mai (Hana Sugisaki) and he soon begins to reassess his outlook on life.
Based on the last diary by Osamu Tezuka, the 'God of Manga', this is director Daishi Matsunaga's fictional feature debut, and it marks him as a talent to watch. We are delighted that he will be here for a Q&A after the film.
