After seven years away, deadbeat rocker Eikichi (Ryuhei Matsuda, sporting an impressive mohican) reluctantly travels back to his island hometown to announce the (unplanned) pregnancy of his girlfriend. However, the family reunion quickly turns sour when his dad falls ill, but the tragic circumstances also offer a chance for father and son to finally reconcile (over a shared love of rock music, naturally)...

A quirky, offbeat comedy that offers plenty of laughts and a whole lot of heart, The Mohican Comes Home paces itself to the natural rhythms of day to day life.
