A group of terrified passengers fight their way through a viral outbreak whilst trapped on board a blood-drenched bullet train, in this fast, fun and highly entertaining zombie-fuelled thriller - which is now the most successful film in South Korean cinema history.
Divorced workaholic Seok-woo (Yoo Gong) boards the bullet train from Seoul to Busan with his daughter, unaware that an unprecedented viral outbreak has pushed the nation into a state of emergency. But when a sick passenger attacks the train's staff - it becomes clear that a zombie outbreak is underway and Seok-woo must join forces with other passengers to survive this nightmare on rails.
A brilliant update on the zombie genre (fittingly, director Yeon Sang-ho uses the genre to critique Korea's class system and its controversial reaction to the 2012 MERS virus), Train to Busan combines horror, comedy and action to great effect. Perhaps best not seen before a long commute... We also screen Seoul Station, the prequel to Train to Busan, on Fri 3 March at 18:00.
