Reconnect with your inner child. Lose yourself in these two uniquely imaginative and adventurous experiences from Senegal and France.
The Other Dakar
Dir: Selly Raby Kane | Senegal
A little girl receives a message that she has been chosen to discover the invisible side of Dakar in this tribute to Senegalese mythology. Art, technology and mythology have become central to the revival of the urban Dakar community and this magical 360° film takes you to a place where past and future meet and where artists are the beating heart of the city.
Sergeant James
Dir: Alexandre Perez | France
Sergeant James recaptures the innocence of youth, the wonder of the unknown, the folly of fear and the terrifying possibility that things are far creepier than they seem. It’s Leo’s bedtime. When his mother switches off the light, the little boy thinks there is something under his bed…“Will you leave the light on, please?” He asks her. “I… I think there is something under my bed…” Is it just the imagination of a young child or is there something more sinister lurking there?
