This directorial debut feature from Andrea Jaurrieta is a thrilling journey into the personal liberation of a woman unexpectedly expelled from her comfortable but unfulfilling life when a mysterious doppelgänger takes her place.

Ana leads a normal, standard life. She was never brave enough to go against the grain and stop living in accordance with other people's expectations – until a mysterious doppelgänger appears that takes over her place in the world and all of her obligations. Ana can either fight against this new, other her, or accept it – giving her the opportunity to adopt anonymity for the very first time, and embrace the freedom and happiness that comes with it. Exhilarated by the chance to choose the life she wants, she abandons her fiancé and career and embraces an alternative version of herself, complete with a hostel as a home, a job in a seedy cabaret, and Marcelo – a man who is also running away from something.

Including echoes of Hitchcock and Lynch with its vibrant use of sound and colour and masterful framing and editing, this is a bold, audacious tale that poses the questions: is it possible to find complete, total freedom? Can you ever run away from yourself?
