After our two-and-a-half-day talent development workshop for early career and aspiring film critics, join workshop alumni and critic and film historian Pamela Hutchinson as for a reflection on the current state of film criticism and the contemporary issues facing working critics in the UK and beyond.

Curator and writer Thea Berry will host a panel of special guests including critic and film historian Pamela Hutchinson (Sight & Sound, Guardian, author of BFI Film Classic Pandora’s Box and editor of 30-Second Cinema), Ben Flanagan (MUBI Notebook, Vague Visages and co-host of Judge Movie podcast) and Rebecca Liu (Digital assistant at Prospect Magazine and staff writer for Another Gaze) to discuss the challenges and practicalities facing film critics today.
