One of the UK's newest film festival’s The Hong Kong Film Festival takes place this month and then selected titles will tour to Watershed and other venues around the country.

The themes of 'Rupture and Rebirth' include films that have been banned from being screened in Hong Kong itself including the protest films Revolution of Our Times and May You Stay Forever Young.

The tiles screened at the festival explore the ‘Ruptures’ that Hong Kong has endured recently, be that in the guise resistance, brutality, and trauma and the accompanying ‘Rebirth’ that sees the cultural response to these changes and circumstances.
