Who is this man called Hassan? He parks his van at the top of our road every night where he sells kebabs and chips. We don’t buy kebabs or chips often but we would pass him almost every night on our way up to the Co-op and he would always wave.
One day we were in a local café, and saw that Hassan was there too so we invited him over to join us. We had a good old chat with him: we talked about our lives, our jobs, his business, our upcoming marriage and where we lived before Bristol.
Being friendly, he offered us fags but we didn’t have any as we don’t smoke. Hassan was disappointed.
Since our meeting at the café, when we go up the road, we now stop and chat to Hassan. He usually asks us about our wedding and has even got us to get him salad from the Co-op. This man called Hassan is our friend.
