My name is Sasha Taylor and I am twenty years old. I have worked for Bristol City Council for the past two and a half years. I currently work for the Bristol Parks Department and we have many open space and children’s play areas in and around Bristol.
Within these open spaces and children’s play area, we as a department have a duty to ensure that all parks and open spaces are kept clean and hazard-free.
If we have a report of a hazard in any of the parks, such as broken glass, we act on this immediately and effectively.
We try to make our parks as attractive and inviting as possible by planting flower beds, installing benches and bins, and keeping the area litter-free.
I really enjoy my current role as Sports Lettings Officer as I meet and speak with various athletes about their chosen sport.
I recently went on a sites visit day with one of our parks managers. I really enjoyed this experience as I got to see all the places I speak about on a day-to-day basis.
