A Century of Granny Moore
My great Gran Alice Moore was born in Lancashire in 1908. In her twenties she met Jack and soon married.
A few years passed when my Nan was born in 1929. Later on in life my great gran had become widowed and married again. That was when daughter number two arrived.
This, followed by many grandchildren. Great grandchildren came soon after, not to mention all the great great grandchildren still on the way.
Granny Moore reached her 90th birthday still going strong and very witty. During the next ten years Granny Moore moved to St Anne’s in Blackpool. With a few ups and downs we were counting down to her 100th birthday.
On January 20th 2008 a big party was arranged to celebrate Granny Moore’s 100th, and the ten years of counting down were getting closer to zero. It was soon time to say “Happy 100th birthday” to Granny Moore.

From then until now my great Gran Alice Moore has experienced many goings on. Since the day she was born a hundred years have come and gone with Granny Moore still going strong, with a sense of humour better than all of us put together.
