The Clark Bursary was initiated in 1998 and provided opportunities for creative development in digital mediaOn this website you can view the creative work, journals and documentation created by recipients of the Bursary, as well as information about the Bursary and partners. Initiated in 1998, the Bursary was established to provide opportunities for creative development in digital media through a residency programme, and has built a reputation for innovation, development and quality. This year’s largest award so far of £17,500 will go to an exceptional UK artist working primarily in digital media, to develop their career and proposed idea/s through a supported residency at Watershed. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an artist to be based in the culturally vibrant city of Bristol, and to be given the space, time and support to develop and share their work. The selected artist will be based at Watershed, a leading public media centre for the digital age, and they will be required to document, present and discuss their work in progress to engage audiences throughout the development process. With additional input from key partners such as Situations, a research and commissioning programme at The University of the West of England, the artist will benefit from a responsive network of support and facilitation. |
