I’ve been working with Create, Compete, Colalborate with my students in Chester, VA since last October. It’s thrilling to watch the artists bring the whole project to fruition now. I’m breathless with anticipation for the Paralympics to begin. As I told Rachel on facebook, this piece, in particular, speaks to me. Obviously, I don’t know what her exact meaning is…but to me it shows the weight of the world pressing down on a willing athlete who overcomes it all (through blood, sweat and tears). I LOVE this!!! LOVE IT!!!
