We’ve all been told how digital technologies are bringing audiences closer to the arts; are supporting new business models, networks and forms of creativity; and are offering artists new and exciting ways to connect with their audiences, but what about disabled creatives? Is Digital working for them too? Chaired by Push Me co curator, Sarah Pickthall, Adventures in (The) Space is a free evening event at Fabrica in Brighton, part of Brighton Digital Festival from 6-9pm on the 4th September.
The evening will include Push Me 90 second screenings talks and discussions by disabled artists who have been making work for The Space, exploring the opportunities that digital offers: from access, to aesthetics, to artistic development and representation.
Brighton based artists from Oska Bright will also be sharing how their work in digital has given them more scope to play a bigger part in their community.
