The Block Run Challenge 2014
Fancy working up a sweat and raising some money for a good cause? Take up the challenge on Saturday 14th of June.
The Block Run Challenge 2014 involves 1000 steps, six tower blocks and one well-deserved BBQ. They already have members of the police, army and several gyms involved – and you should be too.
Yes, you’ll be running up tower blocks. Tower. Blocks.
All money raised goes back into the organisation hosting the event, Urban Fit; they’re based at The Mill Youth Centre and offer opportunities for young women in Easton and St Pauls to get active and learn about being healthy, all in a fun environment.
Rife Magazine has our very own representative doing the run – our engagement officer, Hannah (go and give her some encouragement) – with the rest of us doing important things like being in charge of holding her water bottle etc.
Deadline for the entries is Saturday 7th June but if you just want to come along for the BBQ then you can turn up on the day. Find out more info about the event here or contact the lovely organisers via urbanfit@hotmail.co.uk
Look out for Rife coverage on the day and afterwards, and let us know via twitter if you’re going! Or if even just the thought of six tower blocks makes you sweat with fear.
