FREE MASTERCLASS: ‘Social media and the power of writing the right thing’
Want to know how to promote yourself better on Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels? Well, our upcoming FREE masterclass is for you if you’re aged aged 16-24.
WHEN: Tuesday, 22nd July 2014, 6.30pm–8pm (places allocated on first come first served basis)
WHERE: Watershed in Waterside 2 (follow the signs in the building)
The talk will start at 6.30pm sharp and there will be plenty of time to ask questions afterwards. If you have any specific questions about your own work then it would be good to prepare those.
WHAT & WHO: James Wheale, Writer and Game Director at Slingshot Effect Ltd, famous for its sell out zombie chase street game ‘2.8 Hours Later’ and that game where you get chased by real dogs…(yes) will talk about what sort of strategies those without super budgets can use to reach thousands of audiences while still keeping it personal.
Once described as, ‘a bit like a cartoon, but real’, James is a writer, poet and maker who uses social media in very cunning ways. From homemade stop frame animations to high-level multi-client PR scalable strategies, he knows what to say and more importantly, when to say it. James will demonstrate why social media is important to grow, talk to and retain your audience.
We hope to see you there!
