That’s it! Easier than pie. Juicy Blitz has given us all the insight to the tasty smoothie world, that we can now dive deep into.
Juicy Blitz is a ‘get involved’ project based in a juice and smoothie bar on the Lawrence Weston estate, North Bristol. The project has been going strong since 2002 and is run and managed by Bristol based-organisation, BREAD Youth Project
The juice bar is the place to be: people 11-21-years-old meet up and get involved in projects for the young by the young.
Here is a fraction of what they have to offer at Juicy Blitz:
- Fresh Thursdays– Young volunteers provide a yummy food dish and fresh fruit smoothies to wash it down with. It’s free for us young people and encourages the ‘take away culture.’ They are also fun activities and there’s also an opportunity to learn about the healthy living if you wish.
- Juice bar training programme – A six week training programme where you get the opportunity to become a fellow 5 star smoothie maker. Learning the basics from health and safety to coming up with creative ideas for your smoothie creations.
- Mobile smoothie bar youth enterprise project – This gives you the opportunity to take your skills to the streets and cater events with other young smoothie makers.
