Pick of the Week: History Beneath Your Feet
Find out what’s on Rife Guide this week, including a free guided walk around the oldest bits of Bristol.
Do you really know Bristol? Here’s an amazing chance to get out and about in the city, and see some bits that the tourists normally skip over. Bristol has a long and fascinating history, the evidence of which is still all around us. This week on Thursday, join the M Shed’s history buffs on a free guided walk around the oldest parts of Bristol, taking in the ruins of the castle, the old city walls and more.
So, whether you’re an expert on all things historic and want to chat to like-minded people, or you’re just interested to find out about the secrets that lie beneath the modern streets, come along to get out of the house and learn some new things.
You don’t need to book in advance and it doesn’t cost any money. The walk starts from M Shed on Thursday at 10.30am and will last around two hours. Bring a brolly if it looks like rain as this is an outdoor event and will go ahead in all weather. Full details can be found here, on the Rife Guide
