Bristol Loves Learning
Holly learns about learning and why Bristol Learning City is the best learning environment for you.
‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’
Nelson Mandela
Education is the tool, learning is the aim and The City of Bristol is the classroom. It’s 2016 and Bristol has just joined thousands of cities worldwide to join forces and become a Learning City. The idea behind a Learning City is that by working and learning together, we can achieve more. The partnership will transform lives, organisations and cities. And Bristol seems like the perfect place for it. Great schools, world-class universities and a ton of opportunities from a range of cultural organisations. But there are a lot of challenges to tackle. Bristol is a city of contrasts and not everyone has access to all these wonderful places.
‘Learning has the tremendous potential to break down social barriers and increase social mobility. By planning together and promoting opportunities for everyone, of all ages, backgrounds and communities, we can make Bristol a better place for all.’
Mayor George Ferguson
