Love of Poetry
People write poetry because it’s a form of expression, poetry can be used as a tool to describe people’s attitude towards life. Poets often write about relevant topics such as love, nature, time and war. Poetry has been extremely popular and loved worldwide for centuries because of the play on words, this is why Poetry is so unique and memorable.
Why Poetry is Important
Poetry is so important because it helps us to unlock our deepest thoughts and emotions, which contributes to how we view the world. Poetry covers many topics so that different people can enjoy the experiences of a poem. Not everyone likes to feel the same emotions, that is why poetry does such a successful job in covering many aspects of life to make it inclusive. You can read about love and happiness if you want, or you can read about the dark side of life such as fear, injustice and regret.
Poets and Creativity
Poets create breath-taking art that has the power to move people, this has such significance that we study them in schools.
William Shakespeare was an English playwright and poet who wrote famous plays like Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Hamlet. Maya Angelou was an American poet, memoirist and civil rights activist. She has written lots of incredible poems, but her most famous poem she has published is called Still I Rise. There are numerous poets that have created astounding stories which has formed an impact.
Poems
Poems allow us to connect with ourselves and the world with a greater level of understanding. Along with enhancing our knowledge, poems can be highly therapeutic and is aimed for everyone due to their uniqueness.
