A Rough Guide to Animation Production

BFI NETWORK south west has funded three short animations since 2019 and we’re on the look out for more! We’ve created a handy guide for anyone thinking about making an animated short – this PDF includes information on budgeting, workflows and ways into animation, as well as a glossary of terms and plenty of useful links. The next BFI NETWORK funding round opens in spring 2024, so keep an eye out for updates and start writing and planning your next film.
