Do you have a short film script that you’d like to make in 2024-25? Are you thinking of applying for BFI NETWORK funding to make it? Do you need some advice on creating a realistic short film budget to support your application?

The Short Film Fund is re-opening this March – supporting scripted live-action, animation and immersive projects of up to 15 minutes in length, from teams that already have some filmmaking experience and are looking to take the next step.

Find out more at this online discussion and hear from experienced producer – and BFI NETWORK South West’s Project Coordinator – Anna Duff, who ran through an example budget and offered practical tips and pointers.

About Anna Duff
Anna is a narrative film producer and Project Coordinator for BFI NETWORK South West. She has worked across producing and production roles on six short films, including a BFI NETWORK short.
