Watershed building shut for now, but our arms are wide open
Posted on Tue 17 March 2020
Given the national picture the Watershed building will temporarily close from 14:00 on Tue 17 March and our upcoming events and screenings are cancelled for now.
If you have booked tickets with us for forthcoming events and screenings we will be getting in touch with you directly to let you know how you can either choose to have a full refund or accept a credit on your account so you can redeem your tickets once we re-open. Alternatively you can help us by considering donating any tickets you have already bought by not asking for a refund.
Watershed isn’t going anywhere. During this time we will be working with our funders and partners to continue to champion and connect independent film, creative technology, artists and audiences.
The building may be closed for now but we’re looking at what we will do - where programmes and activities are not venue dependent, we will aim to run them virtually. We’ll let you know what we cook up and keep you updated.
We have been moved by the messages we have received from our brilliant audience and partners asking how they can support us. You can support Watershed by making a donation, sponsoring a cinema seat or buying a gift voucher.
Without the cinema and Café/Bar we have a reduced income and all donations will help us to reopen when we can. We can’t exaggerate how appreciative we are of all the generosity we have been shown already. Thank you.
We will keep everyone updated about the building on our website, newsletter and social media channels (Twitter and Facebook).
We are your Watershed. We want to welcome you all back as soon as we can. For now, we want to extend our love and best wishes to everyone – stay safe and stay in touch.
With love from us all at Watershed x
