Catch Me If You Can

Documentation of a five day residency at Watershed to create a prototype of a multi player adventure game using mobile technologies.

Catch Me If You Can is a first-person multiplayer adventure game (similar to computer virtual world game) in which participants become avatars in the real world.

The object of the game is the search for a fictive character, whose presence the player becomes aware of through the medium of the technology. Participants look outside of themselves for clues using their real world senses to guide them around a hybrid real-virtual environment. The game plays with the notions of reality and fiction, using technology to reveal the fictions latent in reality.

Watershed, J.A. Clarks Charitable Trust and Mobile Bristol organised this opportunity to develop this game with Hewlett Packard.
