Rarely seen on the big screen since its initial release in 1974, Bristol-born Mike Hodges’ epic psychological thriller about computer scientist Harry Benson (George Segal) and his potentially dangerous seizures is one of the forgotten gems of the science fiction genre.

Based on Michael Crichton’s 1972 novel of the same name, Benson agrees to have experimental brain surgery to end his seizures. But there's no escaping his mind as the experiment backfires and his dangerous seizures return… with a terminal vengeance! The Terminal Man had a limited release in the US and never actually released in the UK but was classed as a future gem by many and would later become a key favourite by fellow film directors Terrence Malick and Stanley Kubrick.

Join us for this incredibly rare screening of Hodges’ very own, personal, 35mm print of his later ‘Director’s Cut’ of The Terminal Man.
