Season

Please note : this season finished in July 2019

For those of you who work with, or are interested in archive film, check out this strand of events and screenings designed to inspire and inform through practice based insights from leading event producers, curators, archivists and film critics.

Get involved in the conversation! Join in a discussion on the inspirational legacy of the late Jonas Mekas' Anthology Film Archive; get insights from film critics about their experience of writing about film and experience Ehsan Khoshbakht’s found-footage essay Filmfarsi which salvages low budget thrillers and melodramas suppressed following the 1979 Islamic revolution. Also look out for our Scala Rediscovered and Film Criticism strands and Rosie Taylor's Journey into the Archive.
