Paper Daydreams Family Workshop
Summer at Watershed
Wed 21 Aug 11:00
Café & Bar, Watershed
This is a free event, but you still need to book tickets.
Join paper artist and illustrator Sarah Dennis in the Café & Bar for a special creative family workshop for your 5 – 10 year-old makers.
Inspired by the Feeding Chair, we'll be thinking about daydreams and making our own paper craft creations inspired by our dreams and imaginations. The workshop is designed for grown-ups and children to make things together, so everyone will be invited to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
The Feeding Chair is a bespoke infant feeding chair and multimedia artwork currently hosted in our Café & Bar. The workshop is a response to the Chair - grown-ups are welcome to breast, chest or bottle-feed children using the Chair, or take a moment to explore the Chair’s embedded sound and image artworks.
Younger siblings are welcome in the space. There is no need to book tickets for younger siblings and we will have pens and paper available for them to make scribble works alongside workshop participants.
We recommend grabbing some food from our Café & Bar before the film. We offer delicious, locally-sourced menu items for kids and grown-ups.
Please note: Photos will be taken at this event. If you do not wish to have your photo taken - please inform a member of staff on the day.
