Luke Jerram is an established international artist. His sculptural practice has been described as a poetic fusion of science, technology and art. His multidisciplinary practice involves the development of large-scale installations, such as 'Tunnel Vision', a fusion of architecture, candlelight, surround sound and the viewer's imagination set in a disused railway tunnel in Stapelhill, Bristol. He has also produced live art projects such as 'Sky Orchestra', the hot air balloon artwork that flew over Stratford this summer, playing music down onto the sleeping public, and also makes small art gifts such as 'The Talking Engagement Ring' made for his girlfriend last year. He recently completes an AHRC Arts Science Fellow at the University of West of England until November, he is immersing himself in the Bursary until May 2007.
