Announcing the 2009 projects
Apologies for going a bit quiet, after a busy few months we can now announce the six Media Sandbox projects for 2009. We will post more details next week, but in the meantime, they are:
AntiVJ | Mapping Software 1.0
From plasma to cinema, mobile phones to TVs, affordable display technology has largely been limited to rectangular screens. Breaking out of the box, anti-Vj’s mapping technology creates stunning canvases on buildings, objects and even cars.
U-Soap Media | Viral Spiral
Viral Spiral is a live cross-media game show in which studio contestants compete with members of the TV audience to solve clues which have been hidden around the internet.
HMC, Drake Music and Bibic | Cyber-therapy
Multi-sensory environments have been around for years, providing therapeutic stimulation via touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste. Can Cyber-therapy use existing technologies in new ways, to provide cheaper, more accessible, more meaningful experiences?
C6.org and Steal From Work | Street Art Dealer
The Street Art Dealer is a system where works of art can be bought from a specific street location via a mobile phone using a QR tag, with a payment system which directly links artists with the purchasing public.
Nomos | Audio Enable
AudioEnable will allow organisations to incorporate audio capture and distribution capabilities into their own websites, without the need for specific technical knowledge or expensive hardware or software.
Indie Mobile | The Dis/Wish/Dream Generator
Inspired by the Dizzee Rascal duet with Lilly Allen ‘wanna be a gansta’ the Dis generator is a fully interactive, cross media promotion utilising social media to link up music fans.
Congratulations to all. Projects start work on Monday so you can look forward to many blogs, newsletters, questions and events in the next few months.
