VIDEO: ‘I Am Bristol’ – a short film about our city
Today we launch a new short film that meditates on our wonderful city, called ‘I Am Bristol’.
Welcome to Bristol, a magical poetical city filled with wonder, excitement and extraordinary difference. Rural, urban, independent, soulful, musical, playful — this is our city. And this is our love letter to that city.
Responding to Mark Cousins’ excellent recent documentary, ‘I Am Belfast’, ‘I Am Bristol’ seeks to explores the people who live here, who move here, who were born here, what inspires us and where we tread.
The film was made by Rife Magazine’s young content creators and a group of young filmmakers. The spoken word piece is written and performed by Ailsa Fineron and Aisha Sanyang-Meek, and the acclaimed documentary maker, Michael Jenkins (8th Sense Media), mentored a group of young filmmakers to capture their Bristol.
