The Link, Rife’s free networking event for young creatives, is back. And this time, we’re celebrating BFI Black Star season.

Rife’s free networking event for young creatives in Bristol returns to the Watershed with this special event. We’re celebrating the special BFI Black Star season.

On 28th November 2016, between 6pm and 8pm, before the screening of Noel Clarke’s acclaimed film, ‘Adulthood’, we’re hosting another networking session. For you. And one of the stars of ‘Adulthood’, the excellent Shanika Warren-Markland, is coming along to do a talk about how she got into acting, her top tips for breaking in the film industry, and diversity — is it getting better in the arts?

The Link is free. There will be refreshments. There will be lots of creatives to mingle with. And there will be lots of new people to meet.

So whether you are photographer, filmmaker, artist, illustrator, writer, blogger or just intersted in lots of different things, The Link is perfect for you. Fun, friendly and informal.

About Shanika Warren-Markland

Shanika Warren-Markland began her acting career training with YoungBlood Theatre company in her native West London before going on to win her first television roles while still at college. Her first feature film was BAFTA nominated Noel Clarke’s ‘Adulthood’, and she has teamed up with Clarke repeatedly for ‘4.3.2.1’ and ‘Brotherhood ‘as well as starring in the critically acclaimed ‘Gone Too Far’.

This event is inclusive to EVERYONE 16-25 in Bristol, whether you are just starting out or about to head off to university to study…
