The Short Film Fund is NOW OPEN and closes at 11am on 18 March 2026. The fund awards £5,000 – £25,000 of National Lottery money to producer and director/writer-director teams to help with the production of scripted films of up to 15 minutes, in either live action, animation or immersive. This highly competitive fund opens once per year and supports any genre within fiction. Filmmaking teams with a director based in England can apply.
