Meet The Participants: Beyond Boundaries 360

Meet the cohort taking part in our 2026 Beyond Boundaries 360 programme in Southampton, in partnership with City Eye. Through a series of in-depth workshops, 1-2-1 mentoring, and peer support, selected aspiring film curators and events producers will receive bespoke training to help develop their own film events. 

Ella Manger-Webber (She/Her) 

Ella Manger-Webber is a Film and Television Production graduate from the University of York and an incoming MA Marketing, Distribution, Sales and Exhibition student at the National Film and Television School. Having produced A Night at the Movies, a studio game show designed to celebrate cinema and bring people together through a shared love of film, she is passionate about the power of cinema to build community, educate, inform and entertain, and is particularly interested in audience engagement and exhibition.

Jack Beguin (He/Him)

I come from France and recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth, where I studied Film Production and directed my first short film, “Lost at Sea”. I have a passion for cinematography, but more specifically aerial cinematography with drones. I love exploring the air with my drone and showcasing the landscape from a different perspective.

Maria Munn (She/Her)

Maria is an award-winning author and photographer based in Dorset who fell in love with the ocean after being run over twice and was on the end-of-life pathway in Leeds Hospital.
Passionate about sharks, she loves to connect community of all ages to the ocean, to showcase the beauty beneath the waves and help others learn about all kinds of marine wildlife and conservation projects across the globe.

Chuckie McEwan (She/They)

Chuckie McEwan is a New Forest-based film producer and change-maker, championing underrepresented filmmakers and grassroots arts. A BIFA-longlisted and TIFF-winning producer, Chuckie co-founded Grey Moth Originals and is developing features through INKCAP FILMS. She is exploring rural film exhibition, with a special interest in folklore and pop-up screenings in the woods.

Miriam Leslie (She/Her)

Miriam Leslie is a New Zealand born, UK based cinema host and film enthusiast living in Bath.
While completing her BA in Film and Screen Studies at Bath Spa University, Miriam fell in love with the power of cinema and the way it can be used as both a window and a mirror for our world.
She first became curious about film curation through her job at a local cinema and after organising several private film screenings, Miriam is excited to learn more about how this whole thing works.

Ian Roberts (He/Him)

Ian Roberts is a part-time PhD student specialising in the cultural value of small film festivals. He is also co-director of Lived Perspectives, a film festival which provides a platform for disabled and neurodivergent filmmakers which has been running since 2023, and an award-winning, no-budget filmmaker.

Jasmine Perkins (She/Her)

Jasmine Perkins is a writer and creative based near Portsmouth with a degree in English and Creative Writing. She specialises in scriptwriting and adaptation, and is curious about the intersection of film and the environment. She is currently on the preselection panels for the Two Short Nights and Wicked Wales film festivals.

Didi Brown (She/Her)

I describe myself as a creative performer, a lifetime health professional and musician.
In the 2020s I have explored, several choirs, open mic music and spoken word events, amateur theatre productions, musical theatre courses, creative writing and film making. Im currently mid point through an MA in creayive writing at Portsmouth University.

William Widnell (He/Him)

William Widnell is a filmmaker interested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the medium. Since graduating from university he has gone on to work commercially as a videographer within the sectors of furniture, fashion and art.

Andy Ingoe (He/Him)

Andy Ingoe is a recent graduate from the University of Winchester with a degree in Film Production, specialising in cinematography, editing, and any other on-set work. He’s deeply interested in and hopeful to make festivals spotlighting neurodiversity and disability, and is inspired deeply from filmmakers like The Wachowskis, Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Sergio Leone, and John Woo.
