BFI NETWORK South West Talent Meet Up

    The Portsmouth Room

BFI NETWORK in partnership with DVMISSION are celebrating local filmmaking and media talent at this talent meet up on 7th March 5pm-8pm.

Whether you’re a first-time filmmaker, animator, writer or producer we’re inviting you to come along to meet, chat and share ideas with each other. These informal meet ups are set up with the aim of building and supporting the local filmmaking community, and also to encourage you to collaborate and develop ideas for the two recently announced BFI NETWORK funding strands.

5-6pm BFI NETWORK Funding Strands Q&A

Find out more about the BFI NETWORK funding strands from regional BFI NETWORK Talent Executive, Alice Cabañas. The two funding strands include:

  • Short Film Funding for fiction shorts, in both live action and animation.
  • Early Development funding programme supporting projects with writers based in England.

You can read more about these opportunities here:

6-7pm Screening

Featuring winning short films by local filmmakers including award winners from the Making Waves International Film Festival, Shorts Cut/Guide Awards and Southampton Film Week this will be a celebration of the great talent in the region and an opportunity for an announcement about future collaborations.

7-8pm Happy Hour!

Join us for post panel drinks and the opportunity for some creative casual networking.
