    Film Hub Programming Meet-up

    Bridport Electric Palace

Bridport Electric Palace & Bridport Arts Centre, 13th September, 11am – 4.30pm.

Join the Film Hub team and other exhibitors from the region to discuss upcoming titles and touring programmes plus audience development ideas and funding opportunities.

This meeting is open to all Hub Members in the South West, or potential new members, and we welcome programming and marketing staff to join us. If you haven’t attended before it’s a great opportunity to hear from other members about successes, challenges and things to look forward to, as well as catch up on Film Hub news and opportunities.

We will be kicking off the day at Bridport Electric Palace with a Preview Screening of Disobedience, the English language debut from Sebastián Lelio, the director of A Fantastic Woman and Gloria.

The film follows New York photographer Ronit Krushka as she returns for the funeral of her estranged father to the community that shunned her decades earlier for an attraction to a childhood friend. Once back, their passions reignite as they explore the boundaries of faith and sexuality. Written by Lelio and Rebecca Lenkiewicz and based on Naomi Alderman’s book, the film stars Rachel Weisz, Rachel McAdams and Alessandro Nivola.

After the screening we will head over to the Bridport Arts Centre for lunch and our afternoon programming catch up.

Schedule

11am – 1pm: Screening of Disobedience at Bridport Electric Palace
1pm – 1.30pm: Lunch at Bridport Arts Centre
1.30pm – 4pm: Programming roundtable and Film Hub Catch Up at Bridport Arts Centre
