Sam Dawe

Sam Dawe is a writer-director based in Bristol. His films have played at BFI London Film Festival, Aesthetica, Encounters, Palm Springs, Leeds and many more. Sam’s most previous short, Hungry Joe, was nominated for a London Critics’ Circle Award and competed for the Méliès D’or at 2021’s Sitges Film Festival. It was also selected to screen on the prestigious Short of the Week platform, where it was called “one of the great modern British horror shorts.” Since then it has gone on to receive over 1.8 million views on the horror channel Alter.

Matthew Steggles

Matthew Steggles has built up a wealth of experience working for major productions, including, Production Coordinating Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, series 4 of True Detective and Production Consulting for Good Chaos’s slate. Matthew grew up in North Wales and was accepted as a member of the National Youth Film Academy. His short films have been selected at Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Shriekfest, National Film Festival for
Talented Youth, Grand Rapids Feminist Film Festival and Exit 6 among others. His music video Lost Days has generated over 1 million hits on
YouTube.
