Know The Grass

15-year-old Mattie has dreamlike premonitions which she is encouraged to ignore by her older brother Marco. But during a trip out of town, Mattie senses her visions could have some substance and that her brother’s life might be in danger.

Sophie Littman

Sophie Littman is a writer/director based between Berlin and Glastonbury with a background in Fine Art. Since graduating from the Slade, Sophie made a series of short experimental films that screened at festivals and online platforms. Following these, her first scripted film and latest short Sudden Light went on to play at festivals such as La Roche-Sur-Yon Film Festival, FNC Montreal and Encounters amongst others and won the Grand Prix International Short at Cork Film festival. The film was selected for official competition in Cannes Film Festival 2020 and nominated for a BIFA 2021. Sophie is currently finishing post-production on her new BFI and BBC backed short Know The Grass, and developing her first feature.

 

Lorine Plagnol

From France to England, Lorine has been developing her expertise through high-end TV dramas, factual and independent films, climbing the ladder from assistant to PM and Producer. She is an alumnus of the 2019 B3 Media Talent, 2020 Rotterdam Producers Lab and 2020/21 Insight BFI program for emerging producers. In 2018, she co-founded the production company Sungazer, with producer Oskar Pimlott. Working with international collaborators from diverse backgrounds, Sungazer develops projects with a keenness for topics related to the multiplicity of identities. After their first documentary, Romantic Comedy (2018), Sungazer has been producing short films with the like of Film4, BFI and BBC.
