FilmChelt – Cheltenham Film Festival

Website: https://filmchelt.org/

FilmChelt is an independent film festival and not-for-profit charity bringing a programme of films and events to the heart of Cheltenham. Established in 2025, the organisation continues the town’s film festival tradition with a new direction and a commitment to celebrating cinema and the art of filmmaking.

The festival brings together independent, international and classic cinema alongside new releases, pre-release screenings, special events and opportunities to discover emerging filmmaking talent.

The programme spans a wide range of genres, themes and perspectives, combining thought-provoking films and contemporary issues with family entertainment and cult classics. FilmChelt aims to give audiences in Cheltenham the opportunity to discover films they might not otherwise see.

The festival is delivered by a team of volunteers with experience and a passion for film programming, filmmaking and cinema.

Venues: The festival’s 2026 programme uses HUB8 MX as its main venue, alongside St Luke’s Church Hall
