Westlands Entertainment Venue is an arts organisation based in Somerset, staging over 55 performances, more than 275 screenings and over 1,800 classes and meetings per year.
The venue is a central community hub for local residents, offering access to arts, culture and film for residents across the South West. With a versatile auditorium that can be transformed from a cosy cinema setting seating 295 to a seated capacity of 870, Westlands is one of the few venues which can host a range of events and attract a host of communities to the venue.
Our programme of film, theatre and comedy is scheduled with our communities in mind, as we ensure to plan a diverse programme that will entertain, educate and inspire multiple generations.
The local authority, South Somerset District Council (SSDC), own, manage and fund the venue and have done so since the venue re-opened in March 2017 following extensive refurbishment to save the venue from permanent closure.
