Join YouTube badass and vlogging WUNDERKIND, Jazza John as he tells you how to talk directly into a camera and have people watch.
WHEN IS IT?: Tuesday, 9th June 2015, 6.30pm–8pm (places allocated on first come first served basis)
WHERE IS IT?: At the world-famous Watershed in the Pervasive Media Studio Events Space. Find your way up through the bar and follow the signs for Pervasive Media Studio, then ring the buzzer.
The talk will start at 6.30pm sharp and there will be plenty of time to ask questions afterwards. If you have any specific questions about your own work then it would be good to prepare those.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?: YouTuber Jazza John will be talking about his channel, vlogging, best practice, not best practice, how to market your channel, how to get yourself out there and how to make your video stand out in a sea of other channels/videos/vlogs/straight-to-camera confessions. Make your video seen with Jazza’s help.
WHO IS IT? Jazza John has been a vlogger on YouTube since 2007, before you could become crazy Internet famous or get a book deal from talking to a camera. His channel, rhymingwithoranges, is a curation of videos focused on political and social commentary and debate, with the odd interview and ukulele cover thrown in. RWO. has gained a subscriber-base of over 18,000 and over 1 million views.
Aside from making videos Jazza is also editor at the YouTube culture magazine, TenEighty, and co-founder of Summer in the City, Europe’s largest convention for vloggers and their fans.
