BFI NETWORK South West Talent Executive Nadia Attia has read countless scripts for Channel 4, BBC, BFI, Studiocanal and more, and as an ex-filmmaker herself she’s been on the flipside of applying for funding. Following our call for applications to the BFI Film Audience Network (FAN) Film Exhibition Fund this year, a number of large-scale public events are taking place across the South West this Autumn.
In 2022 we commissioned one of our funded teams to create a case study on their short film Spines.
Over the last four years, Film Hub South West has been a driving force behind film culture in the region, supporting exhibitors and nurturing filmmaking talent with regional partners and the support from BFI awarding funds from National Lottery.
A pitching workshop and networking event for female-identifying and non-binary women of colour, in partnership with Channel 4 and Blak Wave Productions.
