A fantastic panel of leading industry partners actively support Media Sandbox. Throughout the 2010 scheme, the advisors attended and contributed to many of our events and took a mentoring role in the development of ideas, talent and potential routes to market. (You can read more about who they are here and hear from some of them on DShed).
Invitation to view live-stream of Showcase event
The popularity of this year's Media Sandbox showcase has been over-whelming. All 200 seats in our main auditorium completely sold-out within three weeks.
We are now pleased to offer ten seats to view a live-stream of the Showcase event in an adjacent auditorium at Watershed.
You will have the opportunity to see the Showcase in full through a live video link from the main auditorium, pose questions to panel members via twitter and of course join our celebratory drinks reception with a chance to try out project demos and informally network with project participants.
Advisor's event, London
Held at Ogilvy's impressive offices in Canary Wharf on the 13 January, the penultimate Media Sandbox event was inspiring and encouraging. Each project group gave a short presentation about their progress, and since the last advisors event in October, much has developed. A lively discussion followed each, the industry advisors offering guidance and support in the final stages.
Filming the Projects
Following the success of the Theatre Sandbox final outcome films, we have begun work on a short film about each Media Sandbox 2010 project. Geoff, of Wide Eyed Productions, is continuing his excellent work by shooting and editing them.

Testing sound controlled mini-games
Mutant Labs tested their mini-games in Bristol this week. They spent Wednesday's lunchtime in the Watershed foyer asking individuals to try them out. I went along and had a go. The games use the range of your voice in an innovative way and are really fun. Although playing the games on my own in such a public space was quite intimidating, I soon let go of my inhibitions and cared more about completing them successfully than feeling embarrassed.

October Events
As an introduction to my role as iShed Coordinator, I attended the two Media Sandbox events that took place in October. As a complete new-comer to the world of pervasive media, and to Media Sandbox itself, it was an enjoyable and fairly steep learning curve.
